Location The Juyongguan Pass In the middle of the Juyongguan Pass, there is a "Cloud Platform" also named "Crossing Street Tower". The Yuan Dynasty had built it with white marble with a height of 9.5 meters. The platform has stone railings and watch posts on its top. The Chinese maintain the style of the Yuan Dynasty till date In the center of the base of the platform is an arched door through which men, horses and carriages pass. Statues of Gods and scriptures are carved on the doorway. It got its name "Crossing Street Tower" as it had three towers built on the platform but it was destroyed in a period between the Yuan and the Ming Dynasty. A Tai'an Temple was built on the platform later but the Qing Dynasty destroyed it later. The present pass as it stands today was built by the Ming Dynasty and was renovated a number of times. It is a strategic place which connects the land with the northern border of China and is a heavily guarded place. The Great Wall of China is one of the wonders of the world.
